I would like to award EE Broadband zero stars because that is what it deserves! Devastatingly slow to the stage of being almost unuseable! Difficult to log on to, extremely slow downloads of under 2m/ps, unable to stream, unable to send emails with picture attachments at times, unable to download complex sites. This isn't on!!! I was mis sold this package, otherwise I would never have committed myself to 18 months. My only advice to everybody who is considering a broadband package is DO NOT CONSIDER EE FOR BROADBAND!!!!! NEVER!!!

Broadband from EE is the most amazingly rubbish service you can get. I was mis-sold this with promises of 20-25 Mb/s whereas in reality I can only get between 1 and 1.5Mb/s. Yes that's right!! No ability to watch videos and sometimes it takes me several attempts to log on. It is consistently rotten. It just makes no difference how many times I complain to them because nothing is done about it. EE have tied me into an 18 month contract and put up the price half way through. Really rotten broadband and a really rotten company to deal with. They provide a third world service with no support to the customer. I would never recommend EE to anyone!!!

EE provide the worst broadband service in the UK...Period. Customer Service does not exist. I waste my time even ringing them because nothing, and I mean nothing improves. My broadband is so slow all the time that it is not possible to stream. Even heavily graphic web sites are super slow to download. EE you Suck!!!

So low at times you can't watch a movie, the circle goes round and, and the picture is frozen. This is costing me now about £28 a month. I'm in a contract so powerless. The spellchecker says I'm 95% slower than other providers in the area. I can't stand the hassle from this provider. Never again.

We moved house and after market review I decided to go with EE broadband 72mb. Price was all right and there was £100 gift card and extra 5GB per month on my wife's mobile allowance. When activation day arrived we received message that line is live. But there was no internet nor signal on landline. We rang helpline and very helpful Andrew went trough all the steps to find a problem, it was phone line. Next day we had a visit from engineer and he fixed phone line, it was cut. But there was still no internet, so I rang to help line and very lovely girl helped us. She gave my wife free 10GB to use on mobile phone and free first month for broadband to compensate for our inconvenience. Next day second engineer came out and fixed/activated our broadband. Happy days. Very satisfied with customer service and speed of problem fixing. And broadband is fast, average 4-5mb/s download
    speed on torrents(max >8mb/s). Recommended.

Live in High Street, same road as telephone exchange and still connected directly to the exchange by copper cable. This means we cannot have a fibre service until at some unknown future date BT update the cabling. So for years broadband is flaky with fluctuating speeds of between 7 & 15 mbs download and regular service interruption through line drops. EE & BT cannot improve the service until fibre is made available.

It is hard to describe this broadband. I've read the reviews here and it seems that EE are just as Rubbish wherever you live, they know it and can't care less. I was misold this. Promised 20Mbps. Can only get 1.2 to 1.5Mbps.....when it works. Sometimes I cannot log on. Dire broadband. Sensationally slow to the point of making streaming totally impossible. I have rung EE "customer service dept" 13 times now. Nothing has changed...but nothing. This is the worst broadband provider that I have ever signed up with. False information and no support service coupled with a lousy and totally unuseable broadband make this company one to avoid. Oh...and to top it all they introduced a mid-term price rise after promising the payment would not increase for the duration of the contract....! This company is a fraud!

No one can understand how awful EE Broadband is until they try it!!! It is the worst broadband in the country. They know it and just do not care. We were sold this package with a tissue of lies. Did not have this problem with SKY so we know that EE is lying when they use the "it's the line" routine. They promised to exceed the line speed that we had with SKY. We are not getting a tenth of that speed. What we were promised is nothing like the garbage that we have. We have complained over a dozen times now but nothing. They are not to be trusted. We will let this contract run out and go elsewhere. Honest advice is keep as far away from EE broadband as you can!!

No way to stream with buffering and freezing just about all the time. Try ringing customer service - JOKE! Nothing ever done. A price rise half way through the contract to add insult to injury. Woeful company. I will never ever use EE again!

If I could give NO Stars then I would. The broadband speed is so slow it is dire. The endless phone calls to what EE describes as "Customer Service" produces nothing but excuses and false promises. And like other reviewers here I have had a mid contract price hike adding insult to injury. In all honesty this company should not have any customers it is the pits! AVOID!!!!!!

Dire Broadband. No words can describe how bad EE is. Download speed is so so slow it is unbelievable. I have complained so many times and all I get is that the area is bad and I should upgrade to Fibre (for another increase in price of course). Problem is that I have had 3 other broadband providers before EE and I only went to EE because they promised the same download speed at a cheaper price. LIES!!! how can other providers give me a good speed but EE cannot and the price has gone up mid contract. This is a scam company. Do Not Do Business with Them!!!

I am almost speechless at how bad this company is. Their broadband is so aweful that I just cannot describe it as broadband, with speeds below 2Mps. Sometimes I cannot log on. Other times using basic internet facilities is impopssible and as for trying to watch a video, even of only a few minutes length, is impossible. When we were sold this package it was, what I now know to be, a screen of lies. As others have repeatedly said in these reviews their Customer Services is a white wash with absolutely nothing at all being done. AVOID AT ALL COStS!!!!!

This broadband is so bad I mean bad as in lousy! No other description fits. One lousy company intent on SC reading you for every penny without even trying to provide anything like an adequate service. How can they call it broadband??? Streaming is impossible. Freezes all the time and even the most menial tasks take for. And do not make the mistake of contacting their so called service department. Incompetent and completely uninterested. Just one totally lousy company. Don't even think about going near. Be warned!!!

My broadband contract is due for renewal so decided to check the reviews out on this site for various providers. i am actually currently with EE for Fibre Broadband and had I seen some of the terrible reviews I may have been cautious about taking my contract out with EE. However, in the whole of my 18 month contract, I have never had a problem with the reliability or speed of the broadband so am quite surprised by some of the reviews. I may well decide to take my business away from EE however this would purely be down to getting a better deal elsewhere and not because of the service received. I hope it isn't a case of better the devil you know if I leave!!

Avoid EE if you have children!! My issue is less to do with the speed of the broadband (though that's not great) but with the absolute travesty that is safe browsing with Norton. To keep your children safe from adult content firstly you must register to buy the Norton Securities software (the first year is free but you have to give them payment details to get it). Then you must download a chunky bit of software or two apps on to every device you own (two apps??? With Sky, safe browsing was done by logging onto their website and switching it on! That was it!). Next the Norton Family app disables Safari, as it can only keep you safe if you you it's own browser!! What?? What about all my keychains and history and bookmarks?? And if you go through all that with every single device in the house (we have 9 devices between us, not including 2 raspberry pi) your children are still not safe if any of their friends come and visit, because their devices don't have the two apps installed! What an utter pile of *****. I want my IP address to block adult content, just like it always has, with every other internet provider we've had. Instead I've got a phone that still has Safari disabled (even though I have now deleted the Norton apps), and I'm shopping for a simpler solution, which I will have to pay for. I intend to charge it back to EE, with a bill for the hours I've wasted on their over-complicated Norton partnership. Rubbish.

onto each and every device your children might use (I started with mine because they jump on my phone pretty often to google something). Then in order to activate the safe browsing features the app disables Safari (or other browsers)!

EE Broadband is the worst I have ever had. Frequently it is impossible to log on. Download speeds, as others have said here, is excruciatingly slow. Emailing is sometimes impossible. Streaming is impossible with constant buffering and freezing. When you make a call to what EE calls it's customer service department you may as well spot in the wind for the good that it does. This company cannot be trusted, it's product is lousy, it's support mechanism is flooded. In a nutshell AVOID at all costs!

Their "Customer Service" people are so immune to criticism that they just cannot care less. Waiting 7 weeks for them to fix problem, they send 1 SMS every 2 weeks "We sorry for taking to long...We know what is the problem and look into it...We are working to gain access to the side". I know problems can happen, but taking so long to fix it, I don't think it's normal. Aside from that the max speed drop sometime to 4Mbps according to multiple side speed test. Need to restart router in order to get back up to 8Mbps. Avoid waste of time and money.

THE WORST customer service and broadband we've ever had. I'm sick to death of buffering signs, honestly don't bother

Appauling broadband speed!!!!!!. Should not be described as broadband. Should be prosecuted under the trade's description act. You phone them and they don't care. I was told the speed would be very good. Last so called customer advisor described the broadband in my area as "dire". So why did they lie to me about it? Their solution is for me to upgrade to fibre.....for another price increase. They have already increased their price mid-contract. NO Chance. I did not have this problem with sky or BT. Shocking costumer service, left me very upset. I rang to complain about the slow speed and internet connection coming and going and after doing the test she said she can’t help me because I got a favourite colour question wrong! But I got all my other details (bill, address etc) right. Then she hung up on me. I’m very upset. This is not the first time they are rude. They sent a questionnaire to rate their service 0-10 but you can’t send back the message with 0, I keep on getting message ‘not delivered’ every time.
I am changing the provider right now this moment. This is it.

AVOID. The numerous times i have to phone because broadband is not working. All i get is excuses. They go through the usual test line, speed etc. The speed I was promised at the time i signed up were not anywhere near what i get. Despite only having my mobile connected to wifi broadband still will not work. And because i have other devices although not connected the usual excuse was 4 devices can slow down internet.

EE could not find a fault apparently my broadband is running smoothly. They Suggested an engineer attend and test the line etc subsequently threatening me that if no fault was found i would be charged. Thereafter swiftly attempting to sell fibre optic to me to ensure I have broadband.

EE is the worst broadband provider. Go elsewhere.

PLEASE AVOID..AVOID AVOID. They are not worth the stress!!

Terrible experience with EE. Broadband was always very slow and so we changed provider when we moved house. Cancelled contract however EE continued to take money from my account, which I only realised a couple of months later. Called EE and they still failed to cancel it two further times, taking more money from my account. EE confirmed they owe me over £200 and keep telling me they have paid me, or sent a cheque but so far all I have received is a measley £30 and even that has taken 3 months to receive. I'm at my wits end with them and would not recommend them to anyone!!!

Staff and general terms are full of punitive terms. They say you’ll be charged if you cancel early - then you wait weeks/months to cancel and then they take their sweet time to cancel the contract and bill YOU for this time at a higher rate and when they say you’ll get a cheque in 10 days, that’s 10 days from when they process the cheque which could be a week or more. I can only assume their system works on their own broadband - hence why it’s so damn slow. Will never go back

We have had no broadband for 11 weeks now. We changed to EE because they promised speeds of 20 Mbs but after the 10 days settling in period our speed was only 3.6. We contacted them and they tested the line, at which point we completely lost the broadband and have had nothing since. Three fault codes and hours spent on the phone and email and still there is nothing. It seems our only option is to change to BT, which is particularly annoying, as they are basically the same company with the same CEO. How can this company be so ineffectual when dealing with a fault? We also have our mobile phones with them but not for much longer........

I am quite happy with EE's service. Speeds are close enough to the advertised 76mb.

Negatives are that I had BT before and they were almost flawless. Every now and then late at night, EE's service disconnects for 10 minutes or so, which is very irritating.

Also their offer of free Norton Security Premium is nonsense, as the process to get it does not work and neither EE, nor Norton have a solution. This is false advertising.
