    What a bunch of thieves I didn't recieve anything off them after they failed to deliver the monitor to my home and now the daft ***** are trying to bill me £800 for nothing .stopped my direct debit .dont anyone be threatened by there debt collecting methods as they are powerless .And they dare not take you to court to see a judge as with all these reviews as evidence they'll get slaughtered.     Charged me for a contract despite emigrating to a different country.

    Threatened me with legal action at the end of the contract despite paying contract entirety.

    Then said I could have a 3 month refund on my contract for the inconvenience.

    Never received it.

    That pretty much sums up Origin in a nutshell.

    They promise what they can't deliver, then try to bind you into paying the term of the contract to be able to rid of them.
    Unreliable, giving you speeds less than 10 mbps, even though you pay for the super.

    I have had origin since the start of the year, started off ok. nothing more. but it has got so bad of late. i have got 3 spare routers in the house, along with the one sent out from Origin, and none of them work on some days.

    its an absolute joke, they never take a direct debit payment on time. i questioned it one time, and they just said it will come out when it comes out.

    it isn't often you are happy to pay to get rid of a service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

    Diabolical don't do it!! I have 2 phone lines running through 1 cable, 1 line bt broadband, 1 line origin (changed as sales man said it would be as good or better and cheaper) definitely cheaper but Diabolical, not a patch on BT, wish I hadn't changed and now cannot get out for 2 years, so origin says no problem as I get a good service to router, but the WiFi is rubbish keeps dropping and slow, doesn't happen with bt line!! Don't do it!! Its rubbish, and tech are as useful as a leaking roof, I have warned you!!

    They asked to be not worried about my previous suppliers and promised to repay me 130 pounds which my previous suppliers charged me for the final bill. In the end they totally changed their statement and offered me 20 pounds. If you don't want to be scammed please stay away from them as in the end you have to go to the court like me to sue them

    I ordered origin BB and Tv, received the router which never worked never received tv box so cancelled 2 days later. Then phoned the following wk to ask for confirmation Which I never received. This continued every week a phone call for confirmation of cancellation. Eventually received a refund but still no confirmation email. Only to then receive email asking for £225 Stating if I do not pay they are passing me to a debt collection agency. Please avoid at all costs

    DO NOT USE this company. Paid for a year upfront and the broadband has never worked. Impossible to get hold of by phone, they drop chats. Did not call back at time agreed. Refusing to refund. ABYSMAL worst customer service EVER

    So I pay £17.99 a month for 30 days of WiFi, but the router literally only works for like 5 days, I say work... I can’t even run one phone of this stupid ‘broadband’ if it’s even worth that name. It’s quite funny though. They never seem to be able to pick up the phone within 3 hours but damn they take that money with 2 minutes of the day it’s due (yes they literally took the money out at 00:02) robbing bastards, I never even consented to direct debit which makes matters 2x worse. Please, nobody use this excuse of a WiFi provider. I am also a college student, with a college that prefers me to work at home/if possible. Please everyone. DO NOT BUY.

    AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
    My broadband has been awful for months. My devices buffer constantly. I reported this to Origin, they advised there was a network fault. One minute I was told I needed to make an appointment for Open Reach to attend, when I did this, I was told it's external and I don't need to be home. No word of a lie, less than an hour later, an Open Reach engineer arrived, surprise surprise, he needed access inside my house, good job I was home!!! He was here for 5 hours, in the end he changed a line, taking a chunk out of the front of my house. He left assuring me the fault had been resolved. That evening, my broadband was worse than ever, I again contacted Origin to be told that there is another issue, which I was not informed about in the first instance, so there was in fact two faults. This has yet to be resolved. I have been waiting over a month now for the service I am paying for. The staff are rude when you contact them for updates. I have been told "it will be resolved as soon as possible, it could be hours, days or weeks, I don't know". Wow, that's brilliant customer service. I also reported the damage to my property, to be told I had to contact Open Reach myself to complain... ummm no, I am Origins customer, not Open Reaches customer. You have instructed them to attend and do the work, you therefore are responsible for dealing with this complaint.

    I am currently working from home, with great difficulty. Origin do not seem bothered in the slightest. My contract doesn't officially end until June 2021. However I have now contacted another provider to leave this shambles of a company ASAP. And I will be taking this down the breach of contract route as I have continued to pay my bill each month despite receiving awful service.
    Goodbye Origin!!! See you in court!!!

    Absolute worst company I have delt with in my entire life.
    3 hours and I'm currently still on hold. No internet for 3 days! What am I even paying for.
    Considering I have to work from home due to lockdown and I am a key worker to clients as a health professional, this is an absolute nightmare!
    Run while you can from this company.

    My broadband was slow but ok, but no incoming calls. Origin claimed everything was ok, but a Openreach engineer disagreed. Origin failed to get my line working.

    Been with these for a couple of months now and I'm still waiting for the customer portal issue to be resolved How long does it take to sort out a technical issue so I can at least view my account?? Tried the 'live chat' and end up waiting up to 40 minutes to speak to someone even thou they apparently reply in 10 minutes or so? Sort out the portal issue please!

    Absolutely horrific customer service, technical support and broadband service. Do not sign up with Origin. I wish I had read the reviews beforehand. Live Chat isn't 'live' chat. You possibly get a response 30 mins - 2 hours later, can't get through on the phone, nobody gets back to you, internet intermittent but apparently 'stabilises' after 10 days of joining (what a joke, I'm 1 month into my 'contract').... oh and by the way, i've not been able to logon to my customer account to view my 'contract' as their system is down...what a joke!!!

    Signing with Origin was a bad mistake. We do not have the internet most of the time, when we do the speed is pre-2000 dial up modems. The customer service is substandard. First you have to wait an hour to get through to them "first tier" ( that is the people who do not know what ping is). They lie most of the time saying the outage is nationwide for all ISPs and the open reach are working on it. That is to avoid paying a compensation. And so you are left with a paid upfront annual contract and no Internet. The only advice is to AVOID these people or loose your money.

    Like others I wish I had read the reviews. This bunch of cowboys really do not care, they just want your money. Delays in installation meant I wanted to cancel, but like an idiot I didn’t check the small print, and cancellation has to be 24hrs before they go live, which means all the advantage lies with them. There are much better out there, and hopefully you are reading this before you sign up.

    Con artists. Taking legal action. Don’t reply to anything or answer calls with no internet since it started. Evidenced screen shots of over 10 emails and 6 call

    No stars for anything ! The Irish guy who talked me into signing up was nice! Then no connection lots of very young lads running about pretending to connect my tiny router !! Really wish I had read the reviews . It’s not really an internet company it’s just a scam to get £18 out of people. Now I can’t get in touch on live chat or e mail. They aight to be taken to court for fraud.

    Terrible we applied for broadband first payment taken they sent rouyer to a completely different address spent an age on hold to find out where is router
    We then got a bill for nearly £300 even though we cancelled it and never had broadband or any other service from them intersting to know how they got that figure

    Customer service for cancellation is horrific. 45 -1 hr wait with responses that are vague, rude, and a 30 min wait between each reply. They should use a bot.

    'Possibly there's an extra fee, we'll let you know when it happens' - is unhelpful and poor business.

    Contradictory information from customer service. Online portal down. On phone customer service for cancellation says the equipment is for you to keep but contract and chat says you must return at your own expense or you will be fined 40 pounds.

    This is by far the worst company I ever dealt with, My router fails to recognise my password 90% of the time, I can't watch films or TV without it dropping out every few minutes, Even worse for me I got the contract as I am starting college, Lessons have become remote for the main part due to covid, It dropped out 7 times in the first 90min lesson, The oonly way I get contact with anyone from origin is to go online elsewhere and act as a prospective customer, They fone me 9am next morning but still have not spoken with technical support 60days later DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME

    Absolutely the worst broadband provider I have ever had the misfortune to have tried!
    Do not sign up with them.
    Sent out router saying it would all be set up, conveniently 14 days after signing up so cancellation not possible.
    No service.
    Then an email from them saying BT had asked them to switch, (nothing to do with me)
    Gave them another week to sort it out and nothing happened so called to cancel.
    Heard nothing until today when I’m sent a bill for £270!!!
    Horrible company, poor service, dirty, underhanded, ripoff Britain at it’s finest.

    Truly awful support. Seriously, brain dead and extraordinarily slow. I have spent a total of NINE hours with their "live" chat team. After the first 3 hours they identified a fault on the line and told me it would be fixed in 48 hours. 3 weeks later and 6 more hours with support, nothing has happened. Every time I go back to support, the morons just read off the tech support script, and when I tell them repeatedly that I have already done this and they have already identified the fault, they just read the next line on the script. Their staff are incapable of independent thought - they should just use an AI bot, at least that could reply more than once every 30 minutes!

    Truly, truly dreadful company. Avoid like your life depends on it.

    I was sold a broadband package, they never installed it, refused to cancel the agreement, and have ignored my letters of complaint. I ended up just cancelling the DD, maybe now theyll get in touch. It turns out Fibre optic isnt even available in my area, and they still sold me the package...

    Having just set-up a new contract with Origin I tried to resolve 2 issues.
    1. Broadband speed about half the download thery said they provide and..
    2. The router I received is so small it doesn't provide coverage for the whole house (3 bed semi!!)
    I asked to cancle mu contract to find this conveniently expires 14 days after you commit to them up to the day before they connect you. So, there's no way to cancel the contract after you get terrible technical advice on day one without incurring charges.
    Aparently a wireless router will give a greater coverage area when the broadband speed increases - my technical representative said I would have to buy a router from them that should provide the coverage they promised before agreeing to change from EE.
    Beware of this company, they do NOT provide faster broadband nor do they provide an appropriate router to cover a small semi

    OMG, since June and now we in September I'm trying to fix my problem and every time when I call I'm receiving different explanations and every time they asking to check line and speed test.
    Very bad customer service every time when I ask for manager or supervisor the answer is she or he very busy. Asking to call back, guess what.

    What a nightmare, if it didn't cost so much I'd buy myself out of this contract. Worst broadband I've ever had since dial up. Basic router that struggles to get through 1 brick wall, cuts off regularly.

    I would I cancel my order. They took the money fast and I haven't received the service yet. Everything is going wrong so far. I left my previous ISP is worst but this one is worst so far based on my experience.

    This is the worst internet provider I have ever used, I have only been with them for 3 months and have been unable to stream any media over the router they provided. Nobody seams to know what they are doing .I phoned them numerous times but the tech team was unable to resolve my issue and was even told that 6 devices were to many to connected to the router.
    I have now switched to my previous supplier and waiting to see if they will demand their cancellation fee, which I plan to deal with the same way they dealt with me!!
