    just started with them with first bill,they have put vat at the end of the bill? is this right? talked to them cant get a positive answer , not had this with any previous supplier, not in the small print about this,feel conned ? buyer beware.

    Broadband is totally unreliable. Constantly dropping of video calls. People cannot hear me. Unable to download. They deny there is an issue and keep fobbing us off. This service is useless. You are left waiting on hold forever and no one wants to help. Avoid this supplier.

    If i could i would give them zero stars. Quite the worst company i have ever dealt with. Young inexperienced staff on receiving end of phone calls with no power to resolve problems. When the engineer didn’t show up - despite a text telling me he was on his way - the only response was that ‘I would have to” go through the process again to book another visit. After sitting in an empty property for 3.5 hours. And who knows whether they would turn up again as they couldn’t tell what happened.

    Apparently this multinational company has no supervisors. And if they did the operators have phones that don’t allow calls to be transferred and they hung up on me after a 47 minute call.

    For your sanity go with any other supplier.

    I would give no stars but I’m being nice.it has been fine for a few months but al of a sudden it’s started being really poor. If it’s not disconnecting then the upload and download speeds is disappearing. I use it for Xbox and there is hardly any devices connected yet I still lag? I’m not wasting money on something that isn’t even worth it.

    INEPT is all I can say about this shoddy company- turned my 86 year old mothers phone off since 10/11/22 still today no service - she has pay as you go mobile has used all her credit trying to call them. I have been on hold for over an hour being passed from one imbosile to anothe TOTAL DISGUSTING CON MERCHANTS _ ROBBING ELDERLY PEOPLE- SHOULD NOT BE N BUSINESS - SHAME ON ALL OF YOU USLESS IDIOTS!!!!!

    TOTALLY INEPT! My mother has had no phne line sine they cut her off for essential works on 10th November. She has a pay as you go phone and has used all her credit trying to call them. I was on hold in total for over an hour being passed from one imbosil to another hung up in the end due to my phone bill. Get you act together Shell and fix my mothers line NOW! 86 years old nad no contact service available shame on you bunch of inept idiots!

    Postoffice/Shell Broadband state my line is completely fine. I have purchased a new ADSL, I have placed the cable into the test socket and I have moved my wiring, (even though I have had the phone and router in the same place for years). But my E mail states it's me (household) that has the issue. My speed is so slow that I can only write E mails. Their tech team never picks up, even when they call me and transfer me to the team. In my opinion customer service want to be seen as being active but nothing gets done.
    The automated message when you call customer service keeps cutting out so you don't hear sentences.
    I have requested to cancel my contract without a penalty as they are not fulfilling their side of the bargain.

    I pay for super fibre optic as tbey say but its the slowest Internet i have ever had most of the time its less than 5mbps and it constantly cuts out for hours theres no customer service and theres no website to tell if its a problem on there end even though it is horrendous internet company do not bother.

    Avoid, Avoid and Avoid

    I cancel my contract with shell broadband after a week.
    I have been treated unfairly,
    I had and engineer come to install the box on Wednesday 8th November 2023, I stated to the engineer that I did not want the box installed in my kitchen or bedroom, however he insisted on installing it in my bedroom, I felt at this point he was just after a quick easy job by doing this, I know it can be installed in my living room, as the previous company whom I had a contract with did it with no issue.
    Having the box in my bedroom is causing me to loose sleep as I have a severe light sensitivity and to be able to sleep I have to have a pitch black room. I wasn't advised about the amount of lights coming fliking and the sound coming from the box. when I complained, for them to turn around to me and tell me to cover the lights which I found it very insensitive and unprofessional. I have been dealing with this for a week and I am now being passed back and fourth to different people in different departments and being told different things, is purely unprofessional from a customer perspective.
    Furthermore,
    We can only connect to the WiFi upstairs where the box is located, I cannot get signal downstairs which is redundant, as my children cannot use their computer for school work.

    Therefore I cancel my contract with them and I have had all these issues in a space of my week, therefore

    This company are legalised scammers and should be shut down.
    Avoid at all costs.

    When I signed the contract they agreed with the speed between 11-16mbps. But actual speed is 1-8. After two months I cannot log in to account. If you buy shell broadband you will get talktalk their explanation are they sharing services. Actually we are getting talktalk in anothername.

    I thought post office service was bad but she'll take the biscuit. Absolute waste of time crappie service unbelievable after service just diabolical. Never again good ridden in December.

    Broadband speed is generally acceptable, but reliability is pathetic. What is good about speed when the connection keeps dropping off? Cheap broadband but not worth the stress alongside. Avoid.

    Terrible company, we have been without a broadband and home phone line for a month now, i have rang customer services so many times and nothing gets done. They have told me 4 times that an engineer will be sent out but they never turn up. They don't reply to emails. Be prepared for at least a 45 minute wait to music before anyone answers the phone then they just try and fob you off. AVOID!!!!

    The speeds provided will not even stream a Youtube video. Rang up to complain and did not get a call back for 6 weeks. Customer service is non existent. Avoid at all costs, these are by far the worst broadband provider in the UK

    Awful customer service. I had no internet for a month. I had 4 unanswered emails and had to spend hours on the phone to them. They never called back when they said they would. Complete incompetence. Avoid!

    I would definately avoid shell broadband as a provider as they cancelled the installation of the services twice as they are incompetant at taking over the line more importantly failing to notify me that they have been unsuccessful. Went to complain twice and keep getting cut off.

    Extremely slow and unreliable can’t leave the same as the router without it being unreliable. Would not recommend betrer of paying extra and get something better

    Anyone looking to use these look elsewhere speed was awful kept saying it would get sorted and never did got fobbed off till the 3 weeks ran over so I had to pay the full contract off or baliffs were coming to the door never worked once it was that slow.

    Since moving onto Shell from post office broadband.
    Had terrible service and charged 7 pounds more èven though I was told it would not increase .
    Just lost my husband to cancer and this week end Shell broadband rang me and said my contract ended March so it will cut my service 25th July ho find yourself another provider . Two days earlier I spoke to them and it was agreed a new contract 1 months free and 19.99 a month. I agreed to wait 2 weeks so this call set me back a bit at the week end . Heartless they were . Hope they fail soon

    Utter garbage, the signal is too weak to do anything with, it packed up altogether and it took them 6 weeks to get us back up and running, unable to work from home due to their rubbish WiFi, customer service is a joke

    Worst broadband provider ever, constantly dropping the signal, been without WIFI for weeks due to 3 routers packing up, long delays waiting for BT to come out to check their equipment when it's clear to anyone apart from shell that the problem is theirs, cant wait to change providers, absolute garbage

    Dreadful organisation.Been with them about five weeks.Worst decision I ever made when I chose these jokers for my Broadband supply. Current speed is 0.11mbs. Struggling to open and read e-mails and as for videos, forget it. No landline now for two weeks, with little prospects of a solution.On your heads be it if you make the same choice as I did. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

    Absolutely disgraceful service that pass you round in circles with no solution.

    The product doesn't work relaibly and the router drops the WiFi completely in the next room.

    I'm thinking of buying out of the contract its that bad.

    Avoid this company and product at all costs.

    Had an issue with phone service. Got a message saying, call was answered but, immediately. This happened with all landline calls, but ok connecting with mobiles.

    There customer service was abysmal. Passed to 2 others and each time had to exain issue. In this day and age why can't a ticket be raised on a computer, and trouble ticket no., against which all the details logged. After holding for 20 mins, call was dropped by them. Terrible, useless customer service. Will take up with another broadband/phone service.

    This as a company, must be the worst in the U.K. without a doubt.First I had to contact the Ombudsman about the overcharging on my account which took months to complete,then I started getting intermittent termination on my Broadband when I swapped from one site to another they admitted a fault but would not change my Router, after terminating this service they wanted extortionate costs I had to speak to a manager who agreed to waver costs as I had never received a proper service as long as I waited a monthevery day we have had to RE-SET our password to watch our t.v.we are both pensioners and I am totally disablled.

    Appalling service, no stars can be given. Bitterly regret leaving BT 4 months ago, since when we have received a totally inadequate service. The internet is very intermittent and cuts out continually. We have been quoted £290 to cancel the contract, which seems appalling. In any other circumstances, if goods prove faulty you can return them and go elsewhere. Shame on you First Utility, we have been very satisfied gas and electric customers for the last 3 years, but shall now go elsewhere in protest at your shabby dealings with us

    This company are appalling. Broadband is constantly crashing. 2 engineers booked, 1 came out no internal wiring/router problems now charged £80 and still no broadband. How can i get away from them. Do not use this company

    I will warn anybody thinking to get shell energy broadband as they are a ripp off, their service is very poor you will get nothing working and you won't be able to cancel it,even if it is faulty.they will charge you £110.41 for cancelling their service(an headache).never buy shell energy broadband

    Was moved over from post office and since then from bad to worse, broadband drops out, goes off for hours at a time, customer service do not answer, avoid Shell Energy at all costs.
