Placed an order with the company as I am with them for a mobile contract. After three days annual leave waiting for a BT engineer still no broadband. Six weeks in and tired of being without service I cancelled and was told to collect my deposit from the shop. The shop manager looked like I just asked him for a loan. So no deposit and no service I decided to go with Sky expecting to get the same BT situation but was I wrong. They had it installed and working within two weeks. I got tired of all the progress text messages but hey! Go to Sky or Virgin! These guys are armatures! Will never waste my time time dealing EE again. And guess where U will get my next mobile contract from? Yes, not EE!

I would not recommend EE. It took us almost 2 months to go live after being told it would only take 14 days. Kept being told different things after filing complaints in the end we got credited for the first 2 months after that we kept getting told our bill was outstanding when we was told we didn't have to pay for them because of the problems we were having. Then they just cut us off and closes out account without any formal notice! I couldn't even check my bills online their site it very confusing and customer service isn't all that great. I have moved to Virgin today.

I was a customer of Freeserve, which became Wanadoo, which was taken over by Orange and - finally - EE when this took over Orange. My association with EE continued until the end of June 2016, so I think it fair to say that I gave them a chance! I received a discount on the price of our broadband/landline due to the prolonged association with the company; EE are also my mobile phone provider which also meant the cost was slightly cheaper.

Our broadband got progressively slower and slower, until it regularly ground to a complete halt virtually every evening. Numerous calls to customer services were answered by people with a frustratingly poor grasp of English; although they did try to help, nothing they did resulted in a prolonged improvement and I was left with having to unplug the router from the power supply every night to re-boot it - not what anyone wants when they are in the middle of playing a game or downloading a large file, for example.

I gave up a couple of months ago and found another supplier who could offer a better service for about the same price.

Dreadful broadband. Wireless all but useless as the signal drops in and out causing flakey video buffering. Tried changing each of the 11 different bands as suggested by their help desk but problems still persist. Wish I'd kept my old Wanadoo live box!!

Advisor cheated us! He said one price for me and partners phone contracts but at the end bill come much bigger with different prices. On contract advisor didnt write down prices. The last step when he put a receipt we didnt check it but there was all truth! Even for insurance he said its 8£ a month but at real its 12 £. And we can't prove it cuz all information is on receipt not contract. What should we do? I dont wanna pay that money monthly....im not ready for expensive bills! Its Lincolns store on 309 High street. Sales advisor who cheated us is Raymond!

EE 4g is fine when it is working, however if you have a problem because your internet fails as mine did during an upgrade, you then cannot get through to the right people as they are an internet service and if you call you need details that you cannot find as they are stored on the internet that you cannot access. Eventually you discover that you have to send away your box and await a repair, which means over 2 weeks without internet!

Absolutely disgusted. I have made a deal on 19/05/2016 for fiber optic broadband and phone line. Phone line swapped from BT to EE on 04/06/2016. Than I was waiting for the broadband. They send an ADSL router but settings were for fiber optic. Than I spend at least two hours every day to call them. explained them about their mistake, took all the apologies possible and than they said it will take 5 working days to have a new router. Finally arrived but surprise: same ADSL router wit the same settings for Fiber Optic broadband . And of course not working on my line as the previous one. So I called them and I have cancelled everything. Few days later a direct debit from my account as payment for the broadband. I called the bang and I asked for an indemnity claim for the full amount.

I joined EE broadband about 2 months ago and was promised my speeds would not go below 16,I was told if it did I wouldn't be charged, both these promises haven't been upheld. I'm barely making 9. I will soon be showing my contract to a legal advisor as nothing has been done even though I have been contacting EE regarding this. Very unhappy and will be cancelling my contract unless action is taken and bill for useless broadband is repaid back

Shocking customer service! I thought that "have you tried switching it on etc......" was only said on The It Crowd! The bb speed is awful and keeps dropping out. My landline went down and they said that they couldn't check why as their systems were down. Funnily, after threatening to move provider, my landline magically started working. Broadband still down, however. Now can't get through due to high customer demand. It must be a fault at their end!

EE broadband really is disgraceful. All the time it is crawling pace downloads, my Amazon Firestick worked great with SKY but now I cannot watch a video without stuttering or freezing completely. The line is the same, all thet has changed is the provider! It is impossible to upload an email with an attachment and generally, all of the time the download speed hovers around 1.2Mbps, that is disgraceful. No matter how many times I complain to EE's idea of a customer services department, nothing improves. They want me to go to fibre....but when they sold me this package, EE assured me that my downloads would be at least as fast as my previous provider (SKY). That is a blatant lie! EE broadband cannot support more than one device at a time and in fact CANNOT EVEN SUPPORT ONE DEVICE! Oh, and to add to the tissue of deceipt, they have increased my contract fees mid way through a "Fixed Price Contract".
    AVOID EE COMPLETELY!!

Joined in August for fixed broadband line (coming from SKY). Worst decision ever. Uptime is awful. Speeds are a fraction of what was estimated on my line for fibre. Engineers have been out three times and the customer support is none existent. Takes about half an hour to get through the three waves of customer service agents before you speak with someone who can help you... All the way through you have to suffer the non-stop, rehearsed empty, patronising apologies of trained CS monkeys.
My broadband has been disconnected for SIX count em, 6 days now and I have had no answer despite calling up twice a day. They keep telling me there's a fault on the line and someone will call me back, nobody ever does.
Cancellations are just shrugging and saying yeah fine you can leave but they won't refund my line-rental which was paid up front.
    Honestly never experienced worse service.
All I can say is steer WELL clear of this one.

Have been without broadband for 3 weeks and service still not restored. Spent MANY hours on phone already and 4 visits from Openreach engineer which have taken up 5 hour sliots for each. Warning that £50.00 penalty would be imposed if equipment at home is found to be the problem.
Long delays each time I call with assurances that they pride their excellent service. One return call promised faithfully but not fulfilled and one promise to supply replacement route by return not honoured. Personnel appear to be helpful but no progress has been made. The Management need to know these problems and take positive action to provide acceptable level of service.
We have two mobile phones from EE and receive low level of internet access or occasionally no service. All this living within 4 miles of a major city centre and less than 1 kilometre from the control unit. Decisive action required or replacement of senior staff who CAN DO and justify their positions.

Unbelievable, i wan't to upgrade to fibre optic, spend 10min on phone going through all the particulars, then right at the end he says "you have to have a mobile phone with us to get fibre optic" what the hell has a mobile phone got anything to do with fibre optic broadband. The mind boggles, my contract runs out in August so will sign up with someone else...

Absolutely the worst service I've ever encountered from any company I've dealt with. Broadband connection regularly disconnects and have had some of the lowest speeds since they took over as my ISP

Shockingly rude call centre in Asia defending their disgraceful level of service.

Wanted to cancel but told I would have to pay a cancellation fee despite their terrible service.

In Mid December after changing my mobile phone contract I was persuaded to sign up to EE Broadband and Home Phone. It was arranged that the EE Broadband and Home phone line to go live 4th January and that my router would get to me within 10 days (around late December). I was told an engineer would visit the property between 1pm - 6pm. I took the afternoon off work to wait in. No one came. I rang up customer service who advised that this had been done without having to enter my home and that everything was in working order. I had wasted 1/2 day holiday. Whilst on the phone I also advised that I was still waiting for my router to arrive. I was told another one would be sent out straight away and would take around 3 working days to arrive.
After a few days I was still without router so on the 7th Jan rang up again. This time the lady I spoke to advised me that no router had been sent out as the order for it had not been completed. I was extremely annoyed to say the least but I was reassured that this time it would definitely be sent out and with me within 3-4 working days.
7 days later still no sign of the router so I rang up AGAIN on the 15th. This time I spoke to a gentleman who advised me that the reason my first two routers had not been delivered was because my broadband was not live?!!!! Apparently my order had been cancelled?? No reasons why and the two previous calls to customer services on the 5th and 7th had not spotted even spotted the issue! I was now advised I would have to wait till the 25th Jan before I would be connected. I was thankful though that at last I had spoken to someone helpful. He advised that he would put a third order on for a router as 3 turning up would be better than none at this point, and I could send back the others. He advised I would receive my router(s) within 3 days of going live.
I had a message on Monday the 25th confirming I was live, finally things were looking up! Then it got to Thursday 28th and still no sign of any of the routers. Livid I rang up for a fourth time asking for an update and got a half arsed story about it being delivered and signed for at my address on the 20th Jan (I thought these routers are postbox friendly so just get posted through the letter box anyway??). I was at work all day anyway so couldn't have signed for anything!!! When asked if they could retrieve a proof of delivery from the courier it was as if I was speaking alien! I also question why this would have been delivered on the 20th when my broadband only went live on the 25th??? I think your staff may be spinning me a pathetic lie there!! So the lady I spoke to last night has ordered yet another router for me ( 4th time lucky?) and I have had a dispatch confirmation text (which I haven't had previously). I await its arrival with anticipation.
I am absolutely incensed by the whole experience, from the incompetence of your call centre staff, to your complete and utter lack of customer commitment. Not one person other the gentleman I spoke to on the 15th was at all bothered about my situation. I am afraid to say I would not recommend EE broadband to anyone! I have been without internet for a month having ordered in back in December, this is a disgrace. I often work from home and I am currently study for exams which I have not been able to do. I also pay fees to the likes of Netflix and Xbox live none of which I have been able to use. I am happy to post this story to your Facebook page or go to the press if we do not reach an agreed compensation.
**This is the message I have sent them!!**

Do not use this Scam Company. What they promise in download speed is lies. When you complain they promise this, that and the other....all lies. The contract is lies with a price increase mid way through. Broadband speed at the weekend is around 1.4Mbps!! That's impossible to use! No customer service. No interest. No quality. Never have I had such a slow download speed since the days of narrowband in the nineties. I have repeatedly complained to the EE service dept but nothing has been done. I am 6 months into an 18 month contract and I am really unhappy with this Company. My mate is an IT analyst and he tells me that he believes that EE deliberately squeezes the download speeds to allow more people to use the same pipe and that is illegal but no one can prove it. My download is around 1.4Mb/s. That makes watching videos impossible, and not more than one device can be used off a router. I never had this problem with Talk Talk and I thought they were bad.

Awful customer service. 30 minutes wait to get through to a rude, abrupt and impatient worker! Further 30 minutes pulling wires out, sticking paper clips into the back of router, rebooting etc. End result, told cannot fix and hung up!

Next day I ring cancellations, they try every trick in book to keep me as a customer but when they failed to convince me, they now keep me waiting for days to release a Mac key which I need to change supplier. Avoid at all costs!!!!

The biggest disappointment in writing this review is that I have to award one star. EE don't deserve any stars at all. They expect you pay for a service they don't provide. Their technical departments level of knowledge is non existent. After over 10 hours on the phone over five days they produced no resolution. Everyday a different excuse - all lies. Use EE at your peril and only if your happy dealing with liars, robbers and cheats.

I switched in January from BT to EE didn't want to as BT has always been reliable but having got EE at 1/2 price the decision was taken out of my hands but cannot say a bad word about EE as the service is as good and speed is slightly faster (2-3 mbps)so would highly recommend EE from my experience to date

Days after we received txt on EE mob / loosing signal everywhere or no signal at all/ that we will be connected in few days!!! We didn't agree to switch!!! Finally after calls to EE and Virgin we managed to sort it out. This month we moved to new house in Loanhead we couldn't get Virgin in this area so we decided to go with EE. Guy on phone told us that we will be connected in 5 days. After 6-7 days I call them asking when someone will come to set up router and to check connection. They told me that we will be connected in 14 days and they will send router next day! They provide tracking Nr. In next few days we checked tracking and it says that router has been delivered to letter box 9.55am I check CCTV from my front yard and no one been even near my doorstep that day so I give them a call. I spoke with Asian man and I didn't understand a word he said!!! I'm not native British but my English is good enough. So we call them again and they started with standart bs like did u check if someone bla bla bla... I told her that we have cctv around property. She told us that she will dispatch new router imidiatly and we will get it in 48h! / so it's possible!?/ router arrived within 36h and this last Friday of the month after over 20 days nightmare we received txt that we are connected and guess what? No signal in line no internet connection!!! Numerous calls and problems not fixed. Just a moment ago I have had call from +44 7973 100194 And guy said that line is cracking and he hang up. He called on EE mobile phone iPhone 5s . I'm waiting for my wife and we will cancel this brodband landline and mobile phone and I do not take anything from that company in the future. Pls stay away!!!!!!!

The worst service ever. It is not the first time that my broadband doesn't work, but it is the only company who bases its hotline in INDIA! Impossible to understand these people. Internet still does not work. It stopped 2.5 weeks ago. I talked more than 10hours in total with several Indian guys. No one could fix the problem. "start the router" "change your password"... same questions. zero improvement. Still no internet.

DO NOT GET THIS BROADBAND. Honestly the worst broadband I've ever had, might as well have dial up connection again. 4 of us in the house, if one of us dares to upload or download anything or watch something - even a YouTube video, then the rest of the house is practically offline for all the use it is. Chose it because it's the cheapest, unfortunately it's the cheapest for a reason . Called customer service twice to try and and sort out the abysmal speed, both advisors said they had resolved the problem and there is no improvement whatsoever. PLEASE do not use EE for home broadband.

OK guys, I've been putting up with this service for 4 years. I'm done!!! It is totally unreliable. There are days in which is fine. There are days in which it drops the connection 20-30 times (for like a couple of minutes but it obviously messes up any gaming/tv watching) AND there are days in which it drops for hours.
*They sent me a new router. Still bad.
*They told me to unscrew my socket and plug the connection to the test wall socket. Still bad.
*They finally managed to convince me to accept an engineer visit to replace the socket. Guess what, he came today at 8.00. The socket has been replaced ... the connection has dropped so far 9 times in two hours afterwards lol
This company provides an atrocious srevice, Stay away!!!

Worst broadband ever, slow, unfriendly customer service, unhelpful and over-charge. I switched to Plus.net and am very happy.

    DONT USE EE:
    - Took 8 weeks instead of 2 to get the broadband
    - Impossible to talk to someone, take hours before someone pick up the phone and they are useless
    - The broadband keeps on going down
    - Speed change all the time
    - Ping time 300Ms (my phone is faster)

I've been using broadband in london for the past 10 years and this the worst experience I ever had, used to be with SKY and they were great same with BE THERE in the past.

    Stay away from EE
