    DO NOT GO WITH EE!!!!!
We use our 3g or 4g from mobiles as two routers make no difference, engineer useless, customer services generally poor. Favourite phrase from phone engineer "Is there a wall in the way of where you use the wifi?" "yes" "well there's the issue!" SHOCKING!

I had faster more reliable internet 15 yrs ago! What EE offers is dated and useless! EE wifi is so incredibly frustrating, I don't know how they can offer such poor service.
I regularly post videos to youtube and the upload speed is so bad (0.96) it will take 3 hrs to upload a 2-3 minute video, and whilst it's uploading, you can't browse any other pages or pretty much use the internet at all. Not the upload or download speeds they promised, yet they don't seem to be doing anything about it. Its even worse in the evenings so I can pretty much forget about streaming videos from Netflix etc.. I'm not the only one who feels this way, but 1 star is incredibly generous for such appalling internet service. I'm not in a remote area, I live 10 minutes from Portsmouth so there's no excuse for ripping off customers like this with empty promises.

I would not recommend EE. It took us almost 2 months to go live after being told it would only take 14 days. Kept being told different things after filing complaints in the end we got credited for the first 2 months after that we kept getting told our bill was outstanding when we was told we didn't have to pay for them because of the problems we were having. Then they just cut us off and closes out account without any formal notice! I couldn't even check my bills online their site it very confusing and customer service isn't all that great. I have moved to Virgin today.

Do not use ee they are shocking 3 month I was with them 18 phone calls broadband running at 3.8 to be told there nothing they can do !!! when I was promised over 25mb. opened 6 complaints which were closed before being delt with. Cut off after holding for over half an hour 4 times . Promised to be called back by managers had 2 engineers out and they could do nothing . In the end I got £40 compensation, and upgraded to fibre for an extra £2 a month. Their customer is shocking managers included.

If I could give a minus star for them all I would. We have been with EE since February, the Internet signal is rubbish so we decided to go for fibre. They kept saying we would be connected time and time again and now they have finally decided, 4 months down the line, that we cannot get fibre so we are left with a signal that, at most, is 0.2. This is no good for anything.

Trying to upgrade to fibre because our best speed is 1.8Mbps. 7 weeks on still not connected, twice they have had the order rejected because they inputted the address incorrectly. Still waiting. Hopeless service, over one and a half hours on the phone so far. I think I will have to cancel it and go to a better provider.

Worst customer service and support I have ever experienced.

I was supposed to be connected as I moved in to a new flat but they had connected me to the wrong Exchange so I had to wait 10 days before getting internet. After 3 weeks my broadband was cut off, it took them 3 days to work out that BT had disconnected me for "unknown reasons", promised to get me reconnected, after 1 week of no contact I phoned and was told nothing had been done about reconnecting me so they would action it immediately. After all this it is 2 weeks later and I still have no broadband and they have no idea what is wrong. Don't bother with them.

It has been so bad that I would never recomend anyone this company:
First: after waiting for 3 weeks, They put wring our adress in their database and the router and the enginner never came.
Second: after their mistake, we had to wait, AGAIN, more than 2 weeks for the next appointment. One day before the engineer was supposed to come, the router had not come yet, in fact, the router has never come.
Third: obviously, one day before the enginner was supposed to come I cancelled everything, and which is my surprise when I discover that the day after cancelling it They have charged me the hole month. Un believable.

    Very very bad company.

We changed from BT as they offered the same speed for a much lower price. We are supposed to be getting 35 Mb/s however from speed tests done at various times I struggle to get 5 ... most getting 2-3. EE themselves have tested it and got 6 ... at 11am on a weekday. They have sent two engineers, neither of whom know how to fix the problem and have said it's probably because the cable has broken a few times so they have made new connections and each connection reduces the speed. So why weren't we told this before hand?? Why are we paying for 30+ and not even getting 5! I can't play any xbox games online as it is sooo lagging. I can't watch a 30s video without it buffering 10 times. EE have royally f****d us over.

I have never experience such bad service.

i have been with ee home phone and broadband for nearly 1 year and it's a huge mistake.

They guarantee to be down at least twice a month bit deny it.

They have limited call centres in the United Kingdom 99% is in India!

For me they decided to delete my payment details 4 times and blamed it on me.

my payment date was 4th of the month they decided to change it to the 21st so 13 days earlier give me no notice so they cut off my connection. When I rang them they said it's my fault.

apparently your meant to check your account online daily for changed!

They will never talk the blame for any problems or mistakes on there half

I pay £78 per month I'm now leaving them.

Switched to EE broadband, being persuaded by a customer advisor when I renewed my mobile phone contract. On the day of the switch my landline was disconnected for a day. Broadband, which was working well before, is still disconnected four days later. I spent hours on the phone to the "helpline". Plenty of broken promises and no prospect of it being fixed for *at least* another two days. I wouldn't switch to EE now, even if the "service" was free.

Well its been 5 weeks now and broadbsnd speed ridiculously slow and frequenly losing signal,it takes forever to do anything on the internet and its impossible to watch anything on Now TV as it continusously buffers, had various conversations with customer service and getting nowhere, they did send a new brightbox to fix the problem but this has made no difference and all they keep doing is retesting which doesn't make any difference, customer service don't seem to have a clue on how to fix the problem and don't seem bothered about gettting it sorted. Very frustratinng!

Left sky broadband and thought would be great to have ee home broadband for a saving of about £7 a month and the thing that really was amazing is the 10gb mobile data added for free to my mobile phone account every month. I went for it this is what happened
1- ee didn't put a request to keep my landline number which I lost I HAD THAT LANDLINE NUMBER FOR 20 YEARS
2-broadband connects great up and running in no time.
3-wife and the family start to complain to me that the new broadband is showing full signal and not getting the Internet.
4-I tell them it can't be, it's there phones.
5-I phone ee and they are very helpfull changing the settings ect but nothing changes.
6-The internet is now rubbish on everything that connects to it i can't watch Netflix without it stopping every 2 seconds.
7-I am using my mobile as a hotspot for everyone to connect to in the house
8-I am so unhappy with the ee homebroadband i only hope that they are listening to the public and sort it out.
EE SORTOUT THE HOMEBROADBAND AND GIVE YOUR CUSTOMERS WHAT THEY ORDERED

After reading all the negative EE reviews about service, connection and what really killed it for me was data managment in place I looked elsewhere for broadband and even rang BT to see what they could offer my as my contract had ended with them to be told, as I am an existing customer I could not have the big flashy prices they were now offering. So decided to again look elsewhere and kept coming back to EE, the prices were very good for complete package of phone and broadband. So decided to go for it and made the order online also got quidco cash back, so went for it. I was shocked how quickly I got an emailed stating that my order was accepted, within a few days again I was updated on my order and given a switch over date - so far so good. New router arrived as per the email, switch over day came and had a txt around 7:30am to confirm it was done. Sure enough connected router and checked phone line, all working - initial speed was as per my BT connection 20 up and about 6 down, so far so good same speeds and im saving about £14 each month great. After a few days speed fluctuated slighty and was getting upto 27 up and about 6 down - good stuff. After some reserach I decided to upgrade the router, network cables and also the BT master socket in the house. Ok the router was not cheap, but thought worth a gamble...and wow suddently im getting solid 34-38 down and 9-10 up, I cannot see any evidence of data mangement so far. Im now a month in and touch wood all good, speed is constant. I am more than aware if I ever have to call EE thats when this will all be put to the test, but I am happy thus far and have no complaints over the service provided - maybe im just lucky?!

I have been a customer of ee for a number of years. Recently my livebox died (RIP Big Fella) so ee decided to send me the "much more capable and, my friend, much better" brightbox. Great I thought, what can possibly go wrong. Well when BT Wholesale speedtest can't actually measure the speed as its too low then it seems like things can go wrong. So I did what a 5 star reviewer suggested....I called support. Only problem is that customer support is very difficult to get hold of. Fancy watching GoT tonight? No I think I'd rather sit and listen to hold music all night long. Fancy watching a film on netflix? Nah...I'd rather listen to customer support hold music. So this goes on for a while. Get through a few times, many platitudes uttered, lots of empathy, a couple of times even a bit of help....although the speed always dropped back again. So I found out eventually that the "intelligent internet" function had never been enabled. Don't worry they said, we've typed out a memo they said, it'll be sorted out in 72 hours they said. No, no it wasn't. Put in a complaint. We'll be back to you soon...within 72 hours...nah. This company has truly gone down the crapper. Moving asap....mobile will be going too as soon as contract allows

I have been with EE for one month, coming from their parent company of BT. I was under the impression that the type of service would be exactly the same because BT own EE but in my time I have, had nothing but issues. EE are a complete tripe of an internet provider. The connection is so terribly slow, it's almost like you've travelled back to the bad old days on 64k dial up. Of course that's assuming you can get connected in the first place and there isn't a DNS error; which nine times out of ten there will be.

Imagine spending an hour trying to check your email. Very frustrating and that's EE in a nut shell. Everything is frustrating. Their customer helpline is anything but, their staff are ill equip and, I suspect, poorly trained to deal with any serious issue more complex than "have you tried turning the modem off and on again?" Or my personal favourite "have you connected to the right network?" Their staff are also quite partial at lying, telling the customer what they would like to hear just to pacify them. Expect empty promises of "our technician will sort the issue" to "we will credit your account the value of X as a form of compensation" something which according to the guys in the EE store, the technicians aren't allowed to make.

In the space of a month, we've had 2 replacement modems and a wireless network extender from EE in an attempt to sort this but you can only polish something so much before you realise it's a....well you get the jist. The best piece of advice I can give you is to simply stay away. I'll be getting out of this contract ASAP.

Our broadband service cuts out constantly; approximately 6-8 times a day! We have tried phoning EE to see if they can sort it but they just tell us that they'll give us a free month as a way of making it up to us. Honestly, we're just waiting for our contract to expire so we can change providers. Honestly; look elsewhere for your broadband

Around first week of March I approached EE sales by phone and asked whether I could transfer my phone & broadband line to EE from Talktalk. I have two other EE accounts one with mobile and another with landline. My object was that to keep all my communication contracts with one provider for simplicity and probably for a better service.
I was told “no problems at all” by the EE salesman who processed my request although I said it is from Talktalk and what the landline number was.
The transfer date was fixed to 31/03/16 and an open reach engineer came and tested and I was under the impression that all would go and change smoothly.
Unusually I didn’t have any incoming calls during first few days except some unexpected marketing calls and by this time some of my family members and friends started ringing on my mobile saying my landline was keep ringing but not get answered.
I dialled my landline from mobile and I found the same it kept ringing elsewhere but not ringing at my premises. I was then horrified to found out (from dialling from my landline to a caller display) that it was changed to anther number. This was a shock to me as neither I was told that I will be issued with a new number nor given the number itself. I never wanted this. I wanted to keep my old number and that was my initial request to the sales person.
I phoned EE customer service and explained all and they apologised and said they will try and get my old number back ASAP. Days went weeks went and finally after talking to 10 different people at customer support I was given a date for my old number to be reinstated on 26/04/16.
On that day my old number came back but this time no incoming calls at all. Broadband and outgoing calls were unaffected. Since then I talk to EE Customer services and Technical every day (nearly 25 times minimum) and eventually I was told that EE cannot port my old number completely from Talktalk and they have to cancel my order.
My order was cancelled on 10/05/16 and I was given a compensation of £154. I already paid £59 via direct debit for a service which never happened. In total I was given a compensation of £95. I am sorry this is nothing to me and my family for the inconvenience and the amount of time we spent chasing and talking to very incompetent personnel in your customer service and technical sites. I was so frustrated when I phoned on every occasion I had to repeat all the problems to get them understand in order to get even a reaction. Some I found with no work ethics at all to sort out the problem. Sometimes I was hanging on the phone for 10-15 minutes and eventually cut off. Some didn’t even understand the problem. I found no one has the knowledge to explain exactly what the problem is plus unwilling to switch to an expert who could pin point the cause for a “no incoming calls only” problem.
    Absolute disbelief and disgraceful.

To my disbelief I went back to Talktalk and found out that my old line number was still active with them. They said EE applied for a transfer but never took over the line completely. This clearly explains it why! Now I have got my line working again with Talktalk. It is not the best but atleast it works.
I have written to EE awaiting for their reply. What an experience! Please avoid EE.

Avoid EE like the plague. Their customer service is abysmal. I signed up for line rental and broadband. I elected to pay 12 months' line rental in advance. They acknowledged this in writing. For 4 months they've been charging me monthly line rental, which is more expensive. Now they've stopped even responding to my complaints about it. In addition, I told them that I wanted my phone number to remain ex-directory, so what did they do? They put my number in the directory, my full name, address and telephone number appeared on both the BT website and 192.com after having been ex-directory for 33 years. In addition, they claim to have sent me e-mails that I haven't received, including e-mails about my bills. Their customer service staff just try to blame everything on the customer and they don't try to resolve complaints. At present, my complaint is going to arbitration even though I haven't got a "deadlock letter". I haven't got a "deadlock letter" because EE has stopped responding to my complaints, so the arbitrator is having to accept my complaint without the letter. Really, this is not a company you want to be dealing with, they're worse even than BT or Plusnet, and both of those are dreadful. Funnily enough, they're all part of the BT stable.

I can't get over these reviews. Half of you are buying standard broadband which is like buying a black and white t.v. You're basically asking EE to move the group discussion or you because of your lack of gathering information effort you purchased.

EE fairly offer a simple cancelation process of your broadband if you're speeds are not what they promised. Mine are, and actually 10MB/ps faster than what I actually singed up for. I was promised at least 25mb/ps,I'm getting just under 40mb every hour of the day, also 10mb upload which I've never seen with any provider anywhere in my area ever. Now that's because I'm in a prime location obviously,I know because I checked before signing a portion of my life away, why wouldn't you check. Banging speeds, top notch customer care on the one time I called, 10/10.

    To the new buyer's.

Buy Fibre, don't waste money on standard broadband. It's absolute garbage with any provider.check your postcode and Google Performance on your area. Also consider the under MB promise. At least try EE as I've been with sky, talktalk and take my word, piss poor isn't even close,or you probably know that, that's why your here.

Well I look at it from two angles: I have EE broadband myself - I signed up to a year's contract including home phone. My year is now up and as I am hoping to move home this year, I am on a rolling 30 day contract so that I can cancel with only 30 days notice. I hardly ever use my landline. All the calls I make are done on my mobile (with another network). The broadband for me has been fine, only once has it gone off and I cannot complain about anything. However, my mum has an iPad which she has been using first on a sim only plan with EE, then a MIFI plan with EE for the last month: right from the start this was doomed - it did not work, kept cutting out. I tried, we both did, going into the local store where the plan had been set up, they said they couldn't do anything, were not interested only that it (the MIFI device supplied by them) could go in for repair but it would take 2 weeks. I said surely if that is the case my mum won't have to pay for the "service". Oh yes they said! I was horrified. Not long after my mum took out a landline and broadband contract with EE. This was due to start and the MIFI plan end simultaneously so as not to interrupt anything. She was given a live date of 12 May 2016 (yesterday). On Tuesday 10 May 2016 her Internet connection went off, EE had disconnected the MIFI in advance without telling her. Yesterday her landline was cut off early morning by her previous supplier and I received a text an hour later from EE to say that her landline/broadband plan was up and running. Still her phone did not work and despite my phoning EE on my lunchtime break and spending time on the call when I had better things to do, when I arrived to set up her router in the evening it still wasn't working. I rang EE again, explained the whole situation, got nowhere, they transferred me to another department where they re-activated the MIFI so she could have "temporary" Internet - at their expense but it had to be on a contract!!! It worked for 5 minutes and then went off again so now my mum is stuck once more with no Internet coverage and no landline. She is in her 80s and lives alone. I am sick of telling the people at EE, they are useless. I will change my provider as soon as I can. Their customer service is appalling.

If it was possible to give zero stars I would. We only got it because a flatmate got "a great deal" on it. All I can say is you get what you pay for. The speed was utterly cr@p and this was when you were lucky enough to actually get signal. If you are in uni and needing the Internet a lot, DO NOT GO WITH EE. In fact even if you aren't in uni I wouldn't bother. Total waste of money and customer service were no help either.

I've had problems recently with my EE fibre broadband continuously dropping out. On the three occasions I have phoned their customer services it has taken ages to get through to anyone but then once I had spoken to the first customer service rep I was told I will be forwarded to their technical team and I've been put on hold for over 30 minutes - I was once on hold for nearly an hour when I was then cut off without warning because their customer service helpline shut at 10pm - I rang them at 8:45pm! My problem still remains unsolved.

Changed our broadband and TV package over to EE today. Internet is fine but then I get a call saying nobody can get through on my landline. Only to find out after waiting for 25 minutes to speak to 'customer services' they've allocated us a temporary number. Without telling us. Disgraceful given that it's an emergency number for our elderly relatives. No wonder you can't get through to customer services!!!!!! A shame you can't review below one star!

Where do I start. Having had my order cancelled by gremlins in the system I am left with no internet but a landline taken over by EE. It appears it's not their policy to notify customers of cancelled accounts but they are will for me to be lumbered with a random landline.
Complaint then escalated after having to renew an order only to get a call today from there executive dept to ask if my service is up and running. Muppets......they asked me what my complaint was and sounded confused that I was angry as I was expecting this call to be the answer to my complaint not for me to re raise a complaint.
Run by fools and I was more of a fool for thinking it was going to be the flawless transition sold to me. EE should not be allowed to sell their product. Customers should be treated far better.
Hence cancelled my order.....doubt it was even in the system again and returned to plusnet
