I have been with EE for about 3-4 years and in that time I have never had an issue with the reliability or speed of my 500mb package. The very few times I have contacted customer support have been regarding upgrades to my deal, my call was answered promptly and delt with quickly to great satisfaction. The biggest downside to EE is the cost and whilst they are a good provider and prices for new customers aren't awful as soon as the contract expires you can expect to notice a significant increase in your monthly cost.

So I'll try and keep this short, they will repeatedly raise your price, yes it's in the terms of service but they don't properly inform you of it otherwise. Moreover then I called up about this and was given as they called it misinformation by one of thier representatives saying they could get me a cheaper price or package when they couldn't and they knew they couldn't it was a lie. Then a member of thier loyalty team said how they had said to the liar that they couldn't offer me anything before he did that and openly accused his college of lying to me and told me how to file a complaint against them. Anyway, they offered to pay me out of the exit fee, then I spoke to someone from the executive team who said no no only they could offer to pay the exit fee and it didn't matter thier colleague had offered it me the other day, they agreed to it, but would not admit they had lied to me and instead said I had received misinformation from thier own people, they wouldn't do a good faith gesture beyond getting rid of the exit fee which was the bare minimum and they had to be threatened with legal action for that.

Possibly the worst service provider out there these days. Was with BT (second worst) for 4 years was upgraded 2 weeks ago to the EE package which includes the Hybrid connect supposed to keep you connected to the mobile network even when the broadband is down. Long story short broadband has been down for 7 days straight and the Hybrid cannot connect to the mobile network, flashing red lights all along. Called support about 10 times in the last 7 days nobody has been able to help, they have also sent another Hybrid connect, same issue, EE literally has no signal... I have already changed provider and waiting for new installation but my advice to all is STEER CLEAR OF EE.

Where do I start.Well if you are considering upgrading to fiber via EE don't.The promises do not match the service.Every time a fault is diagnosed a new contract fee is added.Solutions like "ehancers", +£10 did not work.
A raft of explanations to overcome objections to frozen screens no connection to wifi etc include: Pipes under the floor, too many doors, we never promised it would reach every device i.e. the garden shed where BT formally did.
As the late Terry Thomas observed "What a shower.."

This is a pre installation review. The ee app doesn't work and automated emails failed to arrive. The irony that a telecommunications company can't send emails and order tracking that doesn't work isn't lost on me. I thought I was signing up for BT but got EE broadband. BT you have made a terrible mistake linking up with this company

Terrible experience for the last year,
Landline will not work correctly, countless calls to ee and countless visits. Abysmal customer service that will not listen to the problem.
Avoid this provider at all costs.
Even the managing director ignores your emails.

We switched to EE in 2020 because of an awful Post Office broadband experience. In my initial 2020 review of EE, I said that it was not intermittent yet and that I was having a good experience with EE so far.
Well, this no longer is the case. Some portion of the blame does lie on Openreach who decided to use aluminium instead of copper to connect our area to the DSL broadband. It always seemed to drop out in my bedrooms, but every time we had an Openreach engineer round to investigate it, the engineer found that there wasn't anything wrong, we had them round 3 times, all three times they said to use a full fibre connection but there is nothing wrong with the router. On their 2nd of 3 visits an engineer mentioned that they were using aluminium instead of copper. It was that engineer who ordered us a new router which had been promptly delivered but there wasn't much of a difference. It got worse each callout. I believe it's to try and get us to use fibre as it got worse ever since Openreach started installing fibre in my town. And naturally EE was going to approve it so that they could get more money out of us. In the end we are now switching to Trooli who gave us a good starting offer. We just need to know when they are going to come round and connect us

Slow speeds, but they are apparently what we are paying for. Consistently drops out, and has gotten worse since FTTP started being rolled out here. ASlways has been an issue in the bedrooms. Plotting a switch to Trooli and leaving EE and the Openreah network as a whole.

EE are absolutely useless. Only one person can use a mobile/tablet, can't use a tablet and Netflix at the same time. Constant very, very slow internet, on a speed test the upload speed doesn't even register. I have phoned customer services several times and although they are polite and helpful nothing changes regarding the non existent speeds. Definitely wouldn't recommend going with EE

I am an o2 customer and an ee. O2 are very good at answering phones and the wait in shops is very quick. EE on the other are so under staffed it's unbelievable. I've only been with them a short while and can't wait for the contract to end. They never sent a sim with my mobile broadband and after sitting in the shop for over an hour I had to leave. No-one seemed to know what they were doing.

EE broadband customer service is shocking! Trying to renew my broadband account. Can't get through on the phone, and I'm not paying to be seen quicker because that is daylight robbery. When I tried on the app, for some reason the app is telling me the email I use for them is wrong which is rubbish. There is always constant issues with EE.

EE internet contract
100% mistake, they sell 100mb and you will receive a maximum of 18mb, customer service doesn't work at all, it seems like you have to pay but not demand.

I entered into a contract with EE for 24 months during the first year of covid. I had previously been with Sky, BT and TalkTalk and I thought given it's a BT line then EE would be just as good with relatively good speeds and cheaper. I could not have been mpre wrong!! EE has been really really inconsistent with really low speeds of under 1mbps. It would work okish for weeks but then it would revert to extremely slow speeds. I would ring EE and they would do line and router tests and tell me everything is fine and then suggest that the problem may be with my equipment or the enviroment. However given that I have many pieces of equipment including work laptops etc and they were all having the same connection issues, then this was unlikely to be the case! They did send an engineer out but he couldn't establish any problem and just fitted a new BT plug just to be seen to be doing something. I've had two years of inconsistent and broken broadband during covid which i would describe as HELL. It is just no good if you are working home and its franky embarrassing as colleagues in the middle of nowhere did not have the same issue and i live near Manchester city centre. There was days/weeks when i had to go to the office cause i couldnt attend meetings or training online even with the video turned off on MS Teams etc because the connection was so poor. EE also put the price up during the contract, which seemed to be way above the consumer price index and they would not explajn why. After a slow and torturous 24 months, I've recently gone back to BT and the speeds have literally doubled to a consistant 20 megabits per second. EE are supposed to work in partnership with BT but the router they provided was just rubbish and i suspect this may be some of the issue. EE refused to replace it even when some of the features in the router, ie. the DMZ zones would refuse to work. The tech helpline didnt have a clue and just ask you silly questions each time, like have you tried rebooting it and the location of the router. At the end of this two-year period with BT, I intend renegotiating a new contract with BT and i will probably stay with them now. Also, a friend has the same issue with EE. Dont do it, learn from others experiences, life is too short!

This is some woeful broadband. To be fair to this broadband, Openreach did literally use some aluminium under the roads for it, but still. I suppose that the only saving grace before we had our router replaced was that provided you were in the living room, it mostly didn't drop out. If you have Fibre To The Premises available and have the funds to do so, do switch and don't go with EE.

Terrible customer service, useless assistance, broadband not working and unreliable engineers.
EE take care of you the first year then, when you start to pay the full price they just don't care anymore. I have been a customer for 4 years and when I have decided to switch to another provider they charged me 2 months worth of bills even if the usage was 0 because the broadband was not working and they didn't care to send an engineer. 3 times I had to stay home from work waiting for the engineer and 3 times they didn't show up.
Useless, absolutely useless.

Disgusting service. Had an expensive mobile broadband deal with them. Device they supplied failed within a year. They twice accused me of getting the device from elsewhere, before offering a token apology, and an pathetic insult of compensation. They then admitted device they sold me was not supported by their network. Misled and lied to from the off. Never again

Charged over £50 a month, wifi dropped numerous times time during the day. Dropped everytime you would use social media in phone whilst watching tv streaming sites.
Even sat next to the router the wifi would drop or be slow.
Had to use mobile data everyday and to connect to laptop to wfh as it would never work.
EE said that this was normal wanted to charge £600 for us to leave contract, compromised to £300 which it’s still ridiculous for a service that never worked.

I have been with EE since the days of T-Mobile. But their customer service has become horrible. When you try to leave they treat you like an enemy. The worst service. I cancelled a broadband service within the fourteen day clearly stated on their website, but EE deliberately sent me an email asking me to pay a cancellation charge. A very appalling customer service. I don't advice any customer to sign up to EE. They are extremely negligent and unprofessional. Even after I had made a complaint over the phone they cancelled my complaint and sent me a bill again after a few days. Don't take risk with EE. Find another provider by all means. If this matter is not resolved I will inform as many customers as possible through social media to stay away from EE. I have been mistreated and my time has been wasted. I don't normally write reviews but I have no choice with EE. They can't resolve my complaint so I must come on social media to resolve it.

Absolute rip off. They reduced the price for the plan I am currently on to 28 GBP. Strangely, they increased mine to 36.88 GBP. When I asked for a price match they refused saying you are in a contract. Instead of valuing their existing customers they rip them off. Avoid EE broadband. They will try to tie you in a contract and then they will rip you off

BT had become too expensive; have them the chance to sharpen their pencil. BT offered EE as a better priced alternative (since learnt that BT will soon exit this market and be replaced by EE). New service live 4th April. 2 decent days. Rubbish ever since. EE arranged for an engineer to show 8/4 am. Sat in all morning (then all day). No show. Unable to tell me why no show or when they will arrive. Omni shambles

I have never been through such a vile experience as I have with EE broadband. Firstly they enroll you onto a 24 month package when you move home without knowing it. Secondly the internet did not work what so ever at the property. It keeps dropping in and out constantly, any hope of doing work from home is futile. Then after months of the persistent issues and showing them evidence of the drop outs they can not do anything. So naturally I opted out to leave for another provider, but they obviously won't release me of the contract without a crazy termination fee. (Forget about their 'policy' if the broadband doesn't work, you can cancel your contract for free). It was months of me on the phone to them, to the point I had to pay for an extra broadband service to work from home. They do not help you what so ever. Forget about trying the ombudsam service, they are paid by the internet companies, and will always side with them even when you have heaps of evidence. A word of warning to anyone considering EE. DON'T. IT HAS BEEN HELL. Started in February last year and is still going on now.

Poor really poor left for a reason, wanted to be polite, but after 6 months of buffering paying £50 for a service they could have given to a customer who showed loyalty £21, errm me thinks no and let's get this out there service charges should not be happening, charging your customers for leaving come on ee your bigger than this or are you, are you that desperate for your customers to stay, maybe don't spend all your money on stupid adverts and focus on customers
