When renewing BT contract, thought BT and EE were one company. I mistakenly was sent an EE router. Got in touch with EE at least five times and was promised each time would resolve matter.Nothing happened and I got a bill for £50 which I did not owe. Made a complaint to EE who decided to put me in Debt Recovery which threatened my credit rating etc. Sent them info re Tracking from Post Office but still took weeks to resolve. Was resolved to my satisfaction. Am in mid seventies and treated like a thief. In short, keep away from this company

Its amazing that ee keep charging for service they do not provide. The first time I get ee they send me brodband box and the they told me ready to use but nothing work. I have called them every month and they keep tell me the engineer is coming. The engineer keep tell me that I have to tell ee that they need to open the line. Well people its been more than 6 month they still haven't sort out the problem. They actually charge us for engineer which we did not have or see. So I will advice you people pls dont get twisted with they advert they dont provide what exactly they say. Belive me you will thank me. So dont joined ee they dont know what they doing.

Never turn up on the day, keep putting there prices up through out you contract give you a good start price but at the end it’s cost you more go with someone that doesn’t keep putting there price up, when they put the price up they don’t give you the chance to opt out you have to stay to the end and pay more use a better provider

The WORST company I have EVER come across. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! The WiFi turns off every single night without fail and funnily enough it always seems to happen once the office are closed therefore I cannot contact them.

Good speed at start, then it declines, i complain, speed goes up for a few weeks then declines, and so it continues. Have found out that they are limited by BT on bandwidth at my local exchange. An engineer told me The more customers they take on others have to sacrifice their speed. Pure greed and no customer care.

Absolutely awful. Internet is bad where we are but this is abysmal. Drops out at peak periods. Totally inconsistent supply. Useless customer care. I have a mobile too which is equally as shambolic. Stay well away

Shocking! Broadband can't stay on more than 20mins. Worst customers service of all time, rude, argumentative and very ignorant with very poor English yoo. These peopkw talk over the top of you or they hang up on you?! 5 times I've been hung up on. Why this is still such a big company I'll never know. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!

Changed from BT as it was half the price but they promised it was just as good, same company blah...blah. The reality is that it is truly dreadful, so slow that even broadband speedcheckers fail to work sometimes, ping speed up to 3,000+ ms sometimes and drops out all the time. Netflix, Firestick and Sky on demand no longer function properly now, Xbox and online gaming likewise. The Bright box WiFi is so weak I needed expanders around my house. They even had BT come and do line checks, exchange checks, supplied a new Brightbox (what's so bright about it ?) and reeled out a list of excuses so long I could fill a book with them. If you're thinking of using EE, simply don't. I would rate EE minus 10 stars if I could.

I feel bad to give EE even a star, they simply don't deserve any form of credit, not even a single star!

Unfortunately I ended up getting my broadband from EE, partially my own fault for not doing the research I was supposed to do, but more importantly due to all the great promises they gave me, which by the way they broke every single one of them. This company has no respect for your time, they keep you on the telephone line for hours hopelessly with no resolution whatsoever. They have the slowest connection I have ever experienced, and based on other reviews on this website it's not because of my area, as they claim it!

Do yourself a favour and pay a bit more per month and get a proper broadband, mark my word, they will go out of business in few years, at least I hope they do. The level of inefficiency and incompetence is shocking at this company.

It only took them 55 days to install my broadband which every few weeks stops working for 2 days and then reconnects automatically! I tired to cancel my contract three times but every single time they keep me on the line for hours and make me explain my request over and over to a point that I hang up and give up on even leaving them.

EE has an appalling customer service, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Very disappointed in EE. After increasing their broadband prices part way through the contract term they offer me an option of cancelling the contract free of charge. I take that option and now they are charging me £92 for leaving the contract early. Unfortunately for EE I have everything documented in an email from one of their representatives so I will be taking legal action to pursue costs. Not sure anyone should deal with a company which acts in this way. Just be warned get everything in writing.

Since joining with EE Home broadband it has been a disaster.. Delivery was ok, however the speed is horrendous. It has been the worst broadband provider I have signed up to, having chosen BT and O2 in the past which were 100% more effective. EE signal constantly drops which means we have been unable to watch movies properly or catch up on tv shows on bbd inlayer for the last 1 month. I never find the time to write reviews such as these, but on this occasion I wanted to warn others before signing up to EE. Avoid and consider alternative providers.

When moved from BT to EE (worst mistake ever made) problems since day one of order. Product misold to me and they didn't even acknowledge it until after the product was "live". ONce contract was finished, called to cancel my phone and broadband and was told there would be a £30 charge to "remove tags from my line" which there were none as i have now switched back to BT without a MAC code as no tags are present. Broadband speeds were terrible, cant even watch youtube clips without buffering. and i live less than 200 metres formt he exchange where i should be gettign the max speed (According to them). numerous phone calls just to be told that my speed was in the acceptable range and they cant do anything. Staff don't know what they are doing.

i cannot give this broadband provider any stars at all as i have no satisfaction, no customer service, no speed and no reliability

it took 30+ seconds to load the page i write this on, what was once a 'reasonable' connection, not fast but good enough, is now so bad i am forced to change. as luck would have it my contract with ee is up so going is cost free. i have gone the customer service route waiting for return calls that never happen, speaking to offshore call centers with all that that entails. enough is enough.

sign up with this lot if you want but you have been warned

I wish I had read these reviews before I swapped from Sky to EE - I would never have bothered - the broadband is the worst I have ever had - as soon as we have a couple of devices connected we get shocking speeds and it's really frustrating - as soon as our contract is up we will be going straight back to Sky - DONT WASTE YOUR TIME ON EE BROADBAND

I give no ratings, for this frustrating, incompetent bunch of liarsand theives.
I read some of these complaints and i could have written them. Hours phoning, no broadband, over a week still no broadband the same tests and now they want £122 for cancelling as they said we have not given them the opportunity to get it working. No problems with the last 2 providers over 8 years, should never have changed.
Now a battle, I cancelled DD and how funny now they keep emailing me, but only demanding money. Well the battle continues but we have arranged for another provider now.
EE do not use them no matter what carrots they dangle. Just not worth the time and effort and no broadband.

Do not do business with EE. Slow broad speeds, unable to stream video's, takes hours to download from sky. Poor customer service from rude unhelpful call centre staff who are either ignoring or don't understand what you are saying. 40 min calls during which time you are on hold for most of that time. Sent engineer to check a faulty time, engineer called and said nothing wrong with line! What happens next, who knows as call centre staff say line is faulty! Really frustrating but after years with Freeserve/Orange and now EE it's time to move on. Do not go near EE!

I cant express to everyone on here how thankful I am to have read these negative reviews in time to cancel my contract with EE. I would like to begin by saying I too experienced lies from sales staff in EE, router was a no show as well as BT Engineer all before my contract had even started. Called SKY, guess what?! Engineer arrived next day and I'm happily surfing the net with no problems. Save yourselves!!

    Appalling service....

Ordered landline & broadband through local EE store mid Dec. Was advised it would be a simple process and would take 10 days max to have me connected and up and running. Two full months later I still have no broadband and no router. Despite at least 20 calls to EE (and no correspondence from them or calls being returned) I keep being fobbed off with the excuse that one order system cancels out another and it was processing then cancelling my order. I was given 5 separate occasions when my line was due to go live. Every time I had to call EE off my own back as the order was never fulfilled on the due date and the router never appeared. It was a vicious circle and despite most of the customer service people being very pleasant on the phone, not one of them was able to get this to work and I was blatantly lied to and given the run around by several of them when they said my router was on its way and they would return my call to confirm. This in addition to holding for ages on 4 occasions to only be cut off with no explanation.

I finally had enough and cancelled today as I have no faith in the service or ability of EE to listen to and serve its customers. Sorry wears a bit thin after the 20th time...

Never again, avoid at all costs. Wish I had seen the reviews before I signed up!

Signed up for Mobile Broadband using an Osprey. Service is so intermittent its basically unusable. Contacted EE Technical Support and was raised to level 2 then level 3 as they agreed there was a connection/speed problem. Was advised they would call within a week. No call, so called them back, now they are saying its in hand but there is no time scale to getting the problem fixed, could take a year! but I can't cancel and have to continue paying £35 a month for a service we can't use.

Worst company ever! EE fiber optic is crap! Everything about it the speeds we were promised are worse than my 3g signal on my phone. We signed into this in November and have been on the phone to the worst customer services team I've ever encountered, a total of 3 times a week since! We are now moving home and have been told it takes 9 days to transfer........ I'm still sat waiting and I've rung them a total of 6 times (over 45 mins on hold each time) in 3 days as now we are over the expected 9 days. Since the last call complaining we now have a date of 11th April. This is over 30 days since we told them we were moving. Let's see if it gets done by then or will I have to call again

Ok, I wish there was an option to give ZERO stars to especially the 'Broadband reliability' and 'Speed' and 'Customer Service' who kept telling me that my ''laptop was slow'', ''there are too many devices using wifi at the same time'' (and by too many they meant the TWO that I was using) Overall after a year through my contract the internet speed was a JOKE! I kept complaining all the time but when I finally was so resigned and outraged with the level of customer service, I stopped calling at all (WASTE OF TIME AND ENERGY as they never DO ANYTHING, just talk and blame YOUR devices, YOUR address, YOUR whatever!) So when I called them last month and complained about the rubbish speed of my internet and I demanded a refund for the service that, ultimately, I WAS NOT getting, they told me that because I had not called since December, they can't issue me with a refund!!! So make sure you call them every single day and complain each and every time you have a problem! EVERY DAY! The 'regular' customer service people always gave me the attitude that I did not appreciate so on further occasions I always wanted to speak to a manager! The managers have always been much more professional when talking to me but there was NEVER a good solution to my problem. I called and called on numerous occasions and finally they decided to send an 'engineer' over....OH MY GOD!!! I felt like some weight had been lifted off my shoulders...until he arrived. Knelled down to the socket, dismantled it, checked the cables, ran the BT WHOLESALE SPEED TEST on his tablet and said ''all is fine, speed 5.4'' I protested and checked if my smart TV was connecting to the wifi and after 2 minutes or so it displayed the very familiar message ''cannot connect to your network'' and as soon as it did that, I ran the BT WHOLESALE SPEED TEST again and it showed speed of 2.3 - to sum up within the 5minutes that the engineer was in my house the speed dropped from 5.4 to 2.3 !!! you know what the engineer did? he said he had to go to another job and that there was no fault with my service!!!
I could go on and on and on but I don't want to waste any more of my precious energy on EE - THEY ARE RUBBISH! I have just switched to Plusnet and hope I will be getting not only better internet speed but also better customer service!
I still have my two mobile phones with EE but am looking into switching too! Enough is enough!

I haven't got as far as getting my broadband upgraded yet, but already I'm regretting getting started on this process. Appalling customer service, the worst I've ever encountered: no-one I've spoken to has any idea of what is happening, and I just get passed around and kept on hold for 30 minutes at a time. The on-line system doesn't even manage to send out the automated verification e-mail when I've tried updating my e-mail address. A no-stars performance.

The customer service is non-existent. You might as well talk to a brick wall. My phone has not been working for over a month despite numerous phone calls, three trips to the EE shop and waiting for promised call backs on land line which never occurred. They promised to deliver a new replacement phone between 6 and 10pm today. Guess what? It never happened.
